In the 1960s, when Margaret River was first being identified as having great potential for winemaking, Diana and Kevin Cullen were the first to test the water. Cullen Wines is now one of the region’s key producers, with the Cullen philosophy of producing low yields of high quality grapes being supported by a commitment to biodynamic viticulture.
With Margaret River’s climate so closely resembling that of Bordeaux, Cullen Wines planted red grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as featured in the flagship Cullen Diana Madeline Cabernet Merlot. Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon also flourish and are combined with a touch of Chardonnay in the gorgeous Cullen Ellen Bussell White. More recent additions have been Malbec and Petit Verdot, the success of which you can try for yourself in the glorious Cullen Mangan.
