Champagne Gosset has the distinction of being the oldest house in Champagne, existing since 1584 when Pierre Gosset began making still wines from the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes he grew. In the 18th Century Gosset began producing Champagne and established the traditions which are still followed today. Every stage of the process, from the poignettage, through the riddling to the degorgement are carried out by hand and while Gosset may not have the fame of some of its illustrious neighbours, the quality of the wines mean that it has a reputation amongst Champagne connoisseurs as second to none.
Champagne Gosset Brut Excellence defines the house style, rich in aroma with a complex, elegant character and a fresh finish, while Gosset Grande Reserve develops the theme; a wine of enormous depth and character. Gosset Grand Rose, meanwhile, has to be one of the finest Rose Champagnes we’ve ever tasted.
