From their incredibly recent inception in 1999, Two Hands Wines (the “two hands” being Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz) have swiftly risen to a stature that has even surpassed their original aim of “producing the best possible Shiraz- based wines from prized Shiraz- producing regions within Australia”.
When Robert Parker calls Two Hands “the finest negociant operation south of the equator” and gives Two Hands Ares Shiraz 2003 a phenomenal 98 points in the Wine Advocate, the wine world pricks up its ears and Two Hands wines have become increasingly hard to track down. In addition to the Ares, Two Hands also produce the Two Hands Garden Series, which individually showcase the finest Aussie Shiraz from regions as diverse as Padthaway, Heathcote, Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale.
Look out too for the Two Hands Picture Series, which proves that these boys don’t just excel in Shiraz. Most of all, keep in touch with us at randrfinewines to see what we have in stock at the moment; we’re as passionate about Two Hands wines as anybody else who has tried them and will continue to lay our hands on as much as we possibly can.
